What we've been up to this month: When the team received a report detailing concerns of exploitation against a vulnerable person, PC Williams gathered the necessary information to pursue and arrest the suspect for fraud and theft totalling a value of £100,000. An eviction of a squatter became an arrest for PC Gilbert after a stop and search was conducted due to suspicions of a carried weapon. While no weapon was found, an intelligence check showed a failure to appear at court for a previous offence.
Meanwhile, PC Tubbs joined the 'Murder Investigation Team' this month to examine the death of a missing person found in a derelict building. Their work has led to the lead suspect being charged with a court appearance scheduled for late October.
PCSO Day discovered a fire between two businesses on Peckham Park road. Working with members of the public, the blaze was prevented from growing and the London Fire Brigade arrived to extinguish the flames 7 minutes later. fortunately, there were no injuries or significant damage.
With schools reopening our PCSOs have returned to their regular patrols during school closing times to ensure student safety as they journey home.
